Good Friday

A little worried about the inundation of bunnies, chicks, eggs, candy, and that fake grassy stuff, I decided to ask the boys why this is such an important week for us.
  • Gina: Why do we celebrate Easter?
  • Zane: Because that's when Jesus rose out of the death.
  • Gina: Preach it, my brutha', preach it.

Doesn't it make you breathe a sigh of relief when they get it right?!

Wow! I like to think he said that because that's what we talked about in his Children's Church class! (Oh, well....MAYBE it's because his mom and dad taught him!) Suggestion: ask him about Easter and Christmas in a couple of months....and see if he still knows the right answers!

LOL! I just asked him why we celebrate Easter and he said, "It's Jesus' birthday?!" He quickly changed it to , "Oh no, wait, that's when He rose out of the death." And then Riley added, "Yeah, that's when Jesus sacrificed us." Ooooh, I can't stop laughing! I told Riley that Jesus sacrificed Himself for us actually. Oh, that was too funny!

Thanks for the suggestion.
