I mentioned in my last post about the fresh water wells that our Ladies Bible Study group are fundraising for. I'm so tired of the endless school fundraisers already and it's only the beginning of October, but this one has really touched our family. Not that I don't want the kids to go on field trips or have assemblies, it's just that this well project has changed our perspectives. Here's the thing, we have a group of 55 women and we need to raise $10,600 by November 28th to be able to help 3,000 men, women, and children have clean water. Just by drilling a well, it helps improve every aspect of their lives, from children being able to go to school, growing vegetable gardens, to the obvious, health. What a great impact this could make. At first, I thought that this goal was unattainable, but I am confident that this will happen... especially if I ask for help! So if any of you reading this would like to send a check, even if it's just for a few dollars, that would be awesome. I will keep you updated on how things turn out, too.
Make checks payable to OVCC and put in the memo "well project".
World Vision is helping us with this project. "World Vision has helped provide clean water for more than 10 million people for the last 20 years by drilling new wells, protecting existing water sources and piping water from safe springs." ~ taken from a local newspaper article that my dear friend wrote last week.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read all my long posts recently, too! Oh, I almost forgot, I was trying to put the video that we watched on here, too, but it wasn't working right, so you can always check out their website, www.worldvision.org .
