Pennies For Poop

Oh, joyful day, when alas, my youngest (and last) is potty training! Could no more diapers actually be just around the corner?!

Keira is on a roll... or should I say, "bowl"? She's been making it to the "polly" so many times in the day, even without me reminding her. She calls it "the polly", apparently she hasn't crossed her t's yet.

When she goes #2, she gets really excited, as do all the other kids in the house, which is quite hysterical. She doesn't even expect treats or stickers or whatever.... except "the song". I've sung the same song for all the kids, so I may as well go through it one more time. It's called "Pennies For Poop". She puts a penny in a little piggy bank and we shake it while singing the song. Yeah, I made it up and it goes like this....

Pennies for poop,
pennies for poop,
penny, penny, penny, penny
Pennies for poop!
YEAH!!!!!!!

You can hear us down the block when Keira poops. Yeah for poop!!

BTW, her favorite book right now is "Everyone Poops"... of course.

Oh, and another thing, even though I am so ecstatic that we will soon be done with diapers, which really, after 8 years of continuous diapers - no breaks in between kids - it has just been a way of life around here, nothing more, nothing less. I never really complain about diapers, but I don't love it either. Yet, I do have to admit that when I was organizing the car the other day and moving diapers, I got sentimental and teared up thinking that this is the last of the baby stage. Sigh, I'm just gonna have to find somebody else's baby to schnuggle with when I need my baby fix.
Here's a video of us (okay, pretty much just me) singing the song. Keira's not nearly as enthused as she normally is about singing it. Apparently she gets a little shy in front of the camera.

How adorable!

You know what? You didn't show up on my Google Reader, so I'll have to figure out why and fix it. That's why I didn't know you had new posts. Other people's showed up, but not yours. Weird, huh.
