So apparently, I should never have made fun of my parents for getting all our names mixed up. I do it ALL the time, you never know which name is going to come out of my mouth. Although, if I'm needing to yell a name, it's usually Zane's since he's the most mischievous. He doesn't even need to be home and I'll yell his name instead of Casse's! Poor kid... I do need to say that he is my most cuddly so it all balances out in the end I guess.
Okay, so this is all leading to a story about Casse (3). She was asking me to turn on "Little Einsteins" for her one morning as I was getting breakfast ready. She kept asking repeatedly (more like "telling", she's pretty bossy for being a middle child). I was distracted and didn't answer right away, but I finally responded with, "Okay, I heard'ja." She looked at me SO funny and said, "No, my not 'Ja', my Casse."

I can just hear you both saying both those things, and the tones of your voices. I must know you pretty well.
All week my mom kept getting the girls' names mixed up (like we all do) and she'd say, "Amb..Autumn...oh whatever your name is." The first time she said it, Amber said, "Hey, that's what you say, mommy!" I guess I got it from my mom, after all, she raised 7 kids! So, by the end of the week, this is how the conversation went...
Grandma: "Amb...Autumn...oh wha..."
Amber cutting her off "Whatever your name is. HaHaHa!!!" Then lots of laughter would follow.
That's fun that Amber got the hang of the joke : ) My dad always mixes up our names (5 kids). We used to make fun of him ... now I know a little bit of what his mind was going through when he was just trying to spit out a name!
My Mom would go through the pets names. We had 3 cats, 1 dog, a bird etc. Then she would go through the kids names. I thought that was so funny, and wondered how she could be SO far off. Well, I do the pets names now. Laughed at myself good the first time. I think the cat was getting on the kitchen counter and I yelled "Mischa".
