Summertime... it's almost gone. I'm having very mixed feelings about this. Am I happy or sad? Before school was even out, I started counting down the weeks until it started back up again! With four young kids, summer break isn't necessarily all that it's cracked up to be... it's even harder work. Definitely not what I remember what it was like when I was a kid. I didn't have to do much, except beg my parents to take me to fun places and I didn't have to worry about homework either. But now that school is almost back in session, I'm feeling a little sad the kids and I won't have very much time together. No more"family field trips" to the Sea Center, Children's Museum, the zoo, or the lake. Everything we do now is dependent on school. I think I may actually miss them and all the fun things we've been doing! Although, ask me again a few weeks into the school year... I may be singing a different tune about how much wonderful alone time I have with just the baby and myself. Okay, and that's really just two days a week that all three will be in school, but still.
The countdown is on, one way or another... only 20 days left!

I'm with you on school starting soon. It's a bitter-sweet feeling. I love my kids very much but having a break is nice too.
I'm glad you'll have alone time with Kyra ... and some quiet time for yourself. And at least you are enjoying the summer to the fullest : )
I love summer. But then my children are a little older than yours and no longer living at home. I just love the weather and the boating and the skiing and the running and ... I can't believe how bigs the kids are. Seems like only yesterday we were looking at "Frisk me" and laughing. Keep up with the writing. One day our schedules may even mesh and we can get together to play.
If you get bored, you can always come over here and hang out, do my laundry, help me scrapbook, make dinner for me. LOL. BTW, I can't wait for Dream Dinners. Bummer I have to actually cook betwen now and the 30th!
